• a player that comes from a strong background of pride, loyalty, dedication and one who is willing to accept the responsibilities that come with the priviledges of a DI program.
• strong position players at whatever position(s) I need.
• a player that is talented, with additional room to improve on themselves in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
• Sometimes I will look at a particular athlete if they have a great specialty ~ they are fast, they can hit with power, etc.
• I like to recruit some one who wants to come to our institution and has already eliminated other programs that are not like ours, that have done their homework.
• I want to recruit someone who loves the game and wants to continue to learn.

"Stats are nice for our media guide but I pay more attention to how a player performs. Stats can be misleading if the competition isn't at a high level. I like to watch good teams play each other so I can get a more accurate assessment of a players abilities. I like my recruits to be good athletes first and foremost because I like my players to be able to play multiple positions.

We focus on the players that recruit us. Recruiting at the big exposure tournaments can be time consuming when they are spread out over different venues. I make a priority list consisting of players we have been in contact with and we focus our evaluations on those specific players based on our current recruiting needs and their academic profile."
